The maintance of a BMW 1100: I only replace the oil filter and furthermore as proper maintance should be done: topping every 1,200 km and 1 in every 21 long journeys through Europe. Gear tray can be switched on without linking, and not even a click. The big problem with this engine, it does not use a dip stick but gauge glass, it was hard to read out (read about the method on BMW motorcycles http://www.bmwk.nl/) After six months it runs spotless and is now permanently spotless.
Furthermore I bought a Camper Citroen C25 in 1994 at 65 000 km. At the time it did not drive in the fifth gear, it maxed at 85 kmp/h and it had a fuelconsumption rate of 1 liter to 7 kilometers. Currently it runs 1 liter to 11 kilometers, it has no problem to reach 130 kmp/h, it is quite and you can steer it with one finger. The cooling temperture has decreased with about 10 degrees!
Finally I use TSL on my motor chain saw. When I ran out, I used a couple of drops of oil on the chain. Now it runs dozens of minutes without any heating to the chain.
