Car owners are lazy.
A car owner would rather pay thousands of euro's on a guaranteed maintance than that they would spend a couple of euro's on TSL additives, which reduces wear and fuel use.
That's quackery, no mechanic is committed to sell oil additives like TSL. They earn nothing and there is no assurance that the product works in a given case.
They also have no experience about the qualities of TSL. Repairs are the main source of income for these mechanics.
You use TSL prentively, in your (heavy) engine.
Then you can be sure your engine has minimal wear and can use it with more force without any risk.
An engine already worn may not be recovered afterwards by using TSL.
Your car runs more economic, faster and effectively reduces the wear on the engine.
I do that for a dozen years in all my sports cars; Honda, Mercedes SLK and Porsche 986 and 996.
Currently I own a Twingo RS. I can't expect to be able to race with the twing. However with TSL the risks are minimized.
I have repeatedly added TSL in a running engine. Everytime after 1 minute you can hear the engine runs more smoothly.
Once I had a stalled compressor:
Firstly I let it cool down. Afterwards I turned the compressor by hand with TSL as lubrication. Now it works again and has been working for the last 5 years. Without TSL I would have received 10 euros scrap money for a broken compressor. A new compressor would have set me back more than a 1000 euro's.
Unfortunately TSL does not score very well in Bovag figures .... They are afraid of not making money. It gives them no commercial certainty.
So they keep quiet about TSL; also because they have no idea how great that stuff works.
Preventive TSL is more than perfect: Less noise, more speed, less fuel consumption and less wear!
